I've always been fascinated with Samuel and wanted to know more about his life. We hear a little bit about his mom, and about his adolescence, and then he was supposedly a big deal for long time in Israel afterwards, but we only get glimpses of him annointing other people (Saul and David) to be king. I think there'd be a lot of interesting stuff about him. Was he one of the first prophets (as we tend to think of them)? Was he the last judge? He wasn't the king but he ruled over Israel in some capacity. A lot of unanswered questions.
