I'm gonna answer this question with a story. I was in the Kroger parking lot one time and found a 5-cent piece from Brazil. That's right. A Brazilian centavo in the middle of Atlanta. I couldn't help wonder how that coin had gotten here. Brazilian tourists? A Brazilian buying cacao from a guy in Colombia who buys mangoes from a guy in Panama who buys a hammock from a guy in Honduras who buys a truck from a guy in Mexico who emigrates to the United States?
Maybe an illegal centavo-minting operation!
