Ok. The scene from "Basquiat" where Jeffrey Wright (as Basquiat) asks his best friend Benny (Benicio Del Toro) how long it takes to become famous in the art world. His answer is eerie in its overall truth, and because of the fate we know awaits Basquiat largely as a result of achieving that fame.
Not a great film by any means, but I love that moment.
no 1 (for personal reasons) would have to be the scene in "the royal tennenbaums" with margaux and royal in the sundae shop. no 2 might be the "how am i not myself" scene from i "i heart huckabees". of course it is difficult because numbers one through 10 are all from "princess bride"...
